Week 16: 2015 Is A Changing Point

well let me think... since 2nd semester of my freshman year... I've learned that you cant force love on someone. even if you put all of yourself into that love, you cant make them want the same thing. I've also learned that you can lose desire to continue in something. you eventually get tired of it and back out. you try to convince yourself that it will be worth it but sometimes, you just have to let go. and giving a million second chances only sets you up for failure.......
October of 2014, I went to Florida and IT WAS BEAUTIFUL!!!! I love the beach and palm trees and little lizards/geckos that run free! and I think its funny that every squirrel in Florida is skinny! no fat ones! even if one was pregnant, it wouldn't be as big as a skinny one in Illinois! (maybe that's not true but you get my point). my favorite thing about the beach is the sunrise and sunset. it is breath taking and reminds you that life is a beautiful and blessed thing. while I was in Florida, I held, fed and kissed a baby gator! I ate some gator jerky right afterwards too.... poor gator..... The thing i loved most about going to Florida was meeting my step grandparents and being able to spend a week with them! they are great people and they are always sweet! their house was nice, food was amazing, company was great and the pool was fun! going to Florida taught me that there is more fun out in the world, I just have to go dive into it!
my step mom was pregnant 2nd semester last year and had my little brother, Eden, at the beginning of this year. he is 3 months old now and he is my lil' bubby. I love him to death. I love making him smile and laugh, changing him, rocking him to sleep, having conversations with him, singing to him and I love that he is in my life. love you lil' brudder! :*
the most exciting thing about this school year was taking drivers ed. when I got behind the wheel, I felt a new responsibility. i had taken a new step and there was no going back. I just passed my drivers ed. driving test with a solid B! I'm proud of myself! but I still need much more practice. in fact, I'm buying my car in about a week. my step-grandpa is picking it up from a guy he bought it off of, testing it, cleaning it, and selling it to me! I'm excited! (I'm most likely going to fix it up so it looks bad @$$!)
that is pretty much all that is important that happened.........

Week 15: The Fall Of Raine Showers

Raine Showers is a meteorologist that is the main face in channel 5. they lost over half of their viewers because if his inaccurate weather reports. he went to school with the President and they have been enemies ever since the president stole Raine's girlfriend in 6th grade. the president used to make fun of him in school because it was lame to be interested in casting weather reports. just two days ago, Raine made a video go viral about his conspiracy of a weather machine and how the president was bullying him with it by embarrassing him and ruining his career. This is why his weather reports are ALWAYS greatly inaccurate! everyone was hunting for Raine because he posses a threat to the President. he took an early vacation to Washington D.C. to pay a visit to his 'ol pal. he was ready and armed. he had on a bullet proof vest, 5 guns, 3 knifes and 2 grenades on him just to find out where the machine was. the S.W.A.T. team and thousands of soldiers and officers were surrounding The White House in a big brigade that surrounded the whole White House. helicopters were flying everywhere searching for Raine. everywhere was evacuated within a 10 mile radius of the White House. Raine disguised himself as a soldier and was in the front yard of The White House. all he needed to do was get inside. he decided to cause a distraction. he threw a grenade away from The White House then bolted for the door with a gun in his hands. the started shooting in all directions and got inside The White House. he was tackled to the ground and handcuffed. he was trialed in court today and is facing many charges. im sure Mr. Raine Showers wont see the sunshine ever again. he is being sent to an insane asylum with 24 hour security keeping watch on his every move. The president made an announcement in front of The White House where the attack happened. and the said:
"as you all know, a very crazy and delusional American took the lives of a six soldiers and 2 police officers 2 days ago. his conspiracy of a weather machine and my bullying was an attempted solution to his humiliation. he is being held in an insane institution where he will me monitored around the clock all 365 days of the year. on a more personal note, I used to know him back in middle school. we graduated together. we used to be best friends but after I won a girl over that we both were crushing on, he hated me. it hurt that I lost my best friend over a girl. of course the girl didn't last more than one week and I really started to miss my best friend. but I learned that it is best to move on and make the best out of what we have. that is also what we need to do. we need to move on from this tragedy and make this attack a lesson to us all. What goes around comes back around."

Week 14: No Gravity

I never knew that I would have to tape myself to my bed just to stay on it. this sucks. this morning I woke up on my ceiling! I yelled for help and my little sister walked in on the floor and started freaking out like she was the one who was stuck to the ceiling! my dad walked in and we spent 20 minutes arguing because he didn't believe that I was tricking him until I crawled towards him and stood on the ceiling and kept stepping towards him. we all were freaking out. my step mom later came in after my dad explained what was happening.  although none of us really knew what exactly was happening. she didn't have anything to say. my head is level with my dads head when he walks in to my room he handed me food and it was difficult to eat. there was no way of showering and my dad said that I cant be by any open doors or windows leading outside. he was sure not going to hold me like a balloon so I can go to school and risk me floating away. my dad called me in sick with a bad flu. what were we supposed to do? tell them im defying gravity and cant make it to school?! my dad doesn't know what to do. only people in my house know about my condition im in. its been 4 days and the school wants a doctors note! our solution, get checked my a professional.  it took a lot of negotiating and explaining but we persuaded him to come to our house. he was speechless and insisted letting me get tested and observed.
the next day, a team crew brought in a cage, pulled me down from the ceiling and put me inside it. it took 5 men to hold me down and walk me to the big semi. my dad got to be in the back with me even though it was really dangerous for him. he opened the cage and let me out because the force that was making me defy gravity was so strong that the cage was lifting off of the semi floor and also digging into my skin I kept walking back and forth until we made a stop. I refused to get back in the cage so I told them to carry me like a balloon. while they were carrying me, a man came up and put handcuffs on me. that is when I decided to break free. I started floating up and up and up into the blue sky and those men, including my dad, disappeared. I looked into the sky and I saw black. next thing I knew, I was in my bed. I thought, "how could I be in my bed?!" I called for my little sister not knowing she was right beside me. then she popped out from under the covers and looked at me like I as crazy. she was right next to me. I repeat, RIGHT. NEXT. TO. ME. I look down at my hands that felt like they were glued together.... and there were no handcuffs..... it was all a dream.

Week 13: Thanksgiving Should Be Called "Stuffed Day"

every Thanksgiving, I get up early and get ready. I go to my 2 grandmas houses and sometimes I stop by my sisters house. so that's 2-3 thanksgiving dinners. I get STUFFED. but luckily, they are at different times. the first at 1, then 3, then 4 or 5. I probably gain 20 pounds just in that day. there is always the classic turkey, ham, stuffing, deviled eggs, rolls, green bean casserole, corn bread/corn bake, mashed potatoes with gravy, corn, and pumpkin pie. but sometimes, I get salad, soup, chicken, potato salad, baked potatoes, mix of strawberries pineapple and peaches, apple pie, chocolate pie, fudge, cheesecake and so on. I love mostly all thanksgiving food. especially when I haven't had the food for a whole year! I sometimes have to question if I like the food or the company of my family more because thanksgiving food is always good for me!

Week 12: A Special Thanks

a lot of times, teachers don't get enough credit for what they do. so im giving a special thanks to all of my teachers!
Dear teachers,
it may not seem like I appreciate you when I'm frustrated with my work or I sometimes talk out of my turn, but I really appreciate all you and all you teach me.
Ms. Devlin, you make me smile every day. I love learning Spanish from you because you are a good Spanish teacher and you make it more fun than difficult. even though I love what you teach me, I love your personality way better. you are a really good person and it gives me more pleasure to be in your class. I will go through with Spanish in high school and most likely college. and if it wont be for me, it will be for you. (:
Ms. Hudson, you make reading long and sometimes confusing stories fun! our discussions and debates in class make the material we are learning more interesting. I also really love it when you get into the material with us! a lot of times, you make us think deeply and hard about things we normally wouldn't. its pretty cool, and so are you!
Mr. Davis, without physical education, I probably be a couch potato. I like that I have to push my limits and try a little harder. also, THERES NO BOOKWORK! I can get a break of book work when im in P.E. and its usually fun, when students are actually nice and are doing what they are supposed to do. also, you're my drivers ed teacher. my first day driving with you was the first day Ive ever driven. you've taught me everything I know about driving. thanks to you, I can go on to getting my license I need to get to work and start out on my own. thank you.
Ms. Klypchek, you are just my study hall teacher but we have really good conversations and youre study hall is fun. you put on a good variety show and a Christmas concert. thanks for the entertainment!
Mrs. Davis, youre my 5th hour study hall teacher and you allow me to have a study hall that I can concentrate in. and when I ask you for advice, you give me good advice. youre always nice and I love having conversations with you.
Mrs. Rowald, even though I most likely wont use geometry that much in my nursing/zoology career, it is still good stuff to know. when my kids are in geometry, ill be able to help them with their homework. haha! also, I like how you teach geometry. and youre very patient with us obnoxious students and when we don't get a problem. we sometimes have good laughs too.
Mr. Burris, even though we don't talk much, you still teach me a lot of stuf by turning on the television and having me watch CNN. its an easy grade and I actually know whats going on in the world. if it wasn't for your current affairs class, I wouldn't be updated with what is happening in the world. did I tell you I don't have tv???
Mrs. Nauman, you are a really good biology teacher. I really enjoy biology. I think it is because ive had really good biology teachers. I plan on becoming a nurse or a zoologist. which means that biology is the right track to go. I think its cool that you try to connect with us too. instead of just giving us work and lectures, you actually talk to us and learn new words and laugh with us.
All of my teachers make  me love school and learning sooo much. im actually disappointed and bored when summer break comes. and remember, I really appreciate all you do for me. just think about it. teachers and school have been half of my life. all of my teachers play an important role in my life.

Week 11: The Secret to the 1700's Mansion

My family is from Germany. When our ancestors came to America, they had gold hidden in their luggage. Back in 1717, they started up a school for little boys and girls with intelligence too big for the other little boy and little girl schools in America. in this school, both boys and girls were allowed to interact with each other, unlike all of the other schools with gender segregation. they raised up geniuses and invented many tools and contraptions. They studied many things in this school. But the name of this school, to my surprise, was very futuristic. It was Kukunft der Welt Private Academy. It literally means "future of the world" in German. Unfortunately, in 1879, the school was shut down because they got their funds by black marketing many things like tobacco, gold, and even dead bodies for their research on human anatomy. The old school, now considered a mansion, is passed on through the generations of the Hoffnung family (which is my family). I have one of the most beautiful rooms in the house (my taste is the least questionable in our house) and i love inviting friends over. a lot of people say that my house is haunted but i don't call the lingering souls "ghosts". i call them fallen angels.
It was Friday the 13th and all of my friends wanted to stay the night in my haunted mansion. we started out our night by eating dinner. it was pizza with bread sticks, salad, cinnamon rolls, and triple chocolate goo brownies. After dinner, we watched scary movies and ate popcorn. then we had the brilliant idea of setting up my room as a photo booth. we were searching through my mothers old "glam" clothes. we went through her whole closet and ended up trashing the walk in closet with piles of clothes. we decided to take everything down then hang it up later when we were done. when the clothes were taken off of the racks, i found some thing strange. there was a line in the wall. i followed it and it took a sharp right turn and then down again. it looked like someone drew a door on the wall. but there was wallpaper over it. i sent my friend Meghan to get a knife and i cut the layers of wallpaper along the line. there was no way to open it. i tried pushing it but it seemed to be stuck. all 8 of us tried to open it. still nothing. we left to find something to pry it open with and when we came back, it was open. no one else was in the house except the maid. the door opened from the inside. only something from the inside could open it. i sent Meghan to get a flashlight and shined it down into the hole. there were steps going down. we all filed after one another down the creaky steps. the air was heavy and dust was flying everywhere. we heard a crash and a slam... the door was shut. we tried to open it and get out but the door knob was gone. we were trapped. we screamed and pounded on the door.... no one around. we walked back don the stairs and entered a cryptic room. there were tables covered with wires and machines... big computers and contraptions. we were inspecting the abandoned pieces of metal and wire until we heard something roar. it sounded like a machine powering up. we saw a glow in the corner of the room underneath a sheet.......... we slowly walked towards it........ i pulled off the sheet......... and......... a booth? it seemed to be a complicated machine with dials and wires and weird levers everywhere. we stepped inside and i pulled a big red lever. lights lit up everywhere. the machine started shaking and my friends started screaming. i panicked and pressed a bunch of buttons and turned dials. my friends came to get me out of the machine but before i knew it, we were in a library. it looked old. i did a head count. i counted me first... then i made it up to 9....... a man sat at an old mahogany. the man looked started. he wore a powdered wig and small circular glasses...
he asked "who are you and how did you get in here?!"
i replied "im Jenny Hoffnung and i dont know. where are we?"
the man delightedly replied "you're in my house."
i tried to be calm "and where is your house located?"
he sounded proper "why in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania of course!"
all of us girls looked at each other and we all know what we were thinking
WE TIME TRAVELED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
